This year, Planet Africa Safaris is very proud to sponsor Kaelo Francis Saruni for a full year of training at the Koiyaki Guiding School. Koiyaki is a community owned training college in Naboisho Conservancy (Kenya) aimed at educating top quality guides for the tourism industry. Guides are trained in natural history, conservation, foreign languages, and customer service. Francis was born in a local village near Naboisho, and he is committed to serving both tourism and his own community through his studies. According to Francis, “After completing this course, I would like to teach my community the importance of conserving our wildlife and the benefits we will get from wildlife conservation and preservation of our rich cultural heritage.”
