Ruaha Wild DogEven though Ruaha National Park in Southern central Tanzania is not particularly well known, it is in fact Tanzania's second largest national park. The Great Ruaha River is the dominant feature in this stunning landscape. Ruaha remains one of Tanzania's least accessible parks making it largely untouched and wild. There are roughly 350 species of bird not found in northern Tanzania, as well as big game – elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, lion, cheetah, African Wild Dog, Greater Kudu, the list goes on…

This park, which can only be accessed by plane is second only to Katavi when it comes to pristine wilderness. If you want to explore this park in the heart of central Tanzania, then allow us to arrange an incredible trip to Ruaha for you.

ACCOMMODATION IN RUAHA
Mwagusi Safari Camp is traditional safari style at its best. All the essentials are covered – comfort, great food and service – but no frills or unnecessary extras. This camp is a good choice for exceptional game watching. Mwagusi is a charming camp with a real authentic feel, for a memorable Ruaha experience.

Jongomero Camp is a beautiful, stylish little lodge, located in the southwest of the park on the banks of the Jongomeru Sand River. The food is good and the rooms, made from canvas and covered with grass thatch roofs, have big comfortable beds and all look out over the river.
