Thank you Planet Africa Safaris for helping us plan a most memorable safari trip and Kilimanjaro trek. We were very impressed with every aspect of your service right from the start - from the moment we discussed travel plans with Noortje, to booking it and of course, the trip itself! Your team is always thorough with giving advice, quick to respond and tireless with answering our many questions. We are also grateful for your help in helping us rearrange our trip at short notice. We had originally booked to do both safari and the Kilimanjaro trek together, but due to work commitments, could not take so much time off in one go. In the end, Planet Africa Safaris helped us to postpone our Kilimanjaro climb which meant we were able to do both trips. Two of our friends also then decided to join us for the climb a few weeks before we were due to start and again Planet Africa Safaris were able to help make all the relevant arrangements in a very short period of time.
We had an absolutely fantastic time on both trips. At safari in August, our guide, Elissa, was knowledgeable and friendly. Ngorongoro Crater was beautiful and we loved northern Serengeti. We managed to see 5/6 wilderbeast crossings too which was exhilarating! Crater Lodge was a fabulous place to stay, with absolutely stunning views across the crater. On our last night, about 10 staff performed a dance and made a giant cake for us to celebrate our anniversary, which was really fun and definitely came as a surprise to us! Sayari Camp was wonderful. Great decor, comfort, location, food, quality of guides and hospitality all around. The pool also came as a much welcome surprise! We also enjoyed the homely country inn environment at Onsea House and the wonderful food there.
We just got back from our Kilimanjaro trek last Sunday and it was certainly an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed the trek with African Walking Company and were very well taken care of. The team of 18 porters and guides were friendly, professional and we were very impressed in particular with our chief guide, Abraham. We are also really thrilled to have all made it to the summit!
