Safari experience in Tanzania 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I am now back in the UK and fully recovered from a trip of a life time. I just wanted to pass on my thanks to everyone who helped me with this trip and provide a brief review for you to use as you wish.

I wanted to send a message thanking you (Landy) for all of your hard work in helping with my trip. You have been a great help in all of the arrangements you have assisted me with. When I initially contacted Planet Africa I was not sure what to expect. I had seen a programme on TV which featured the company (then Green Footprint) and decided that I liked the look of the activities provided. The help and assistance I have received has been excellent from booking hotels to arranging activities whilst I have been on the safari. From speaking with other tourists ‘on the ground’ I have heard of real issues with other operators which came as a surprise to me due to the excellent support I have had from PAS.

Ammy was an excellent guide. He showed great pride in his work and his country which has inspired me to want to return to Tanzania to explore more of the region. Ammy was always happy to answer questions and had an excellent knowledge of both the geography of the area and also the wildlife of Northern Tanzania. I was amazed how easily Ammy spotted animals reacting as if it was the first time he had seen it and had an excellent knowledge of all the animals we saw.

The accommodation was outstanding. Onsea House was a beautiful hotel (if I can call it that). The food was outstanding and the rooms were simply brilliant. I would also like to mention Rhotoia Valley Tented Lodge as an excellent location. All the staff at the campsite were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I left feeling privileged having visited the children’s home and would encourage others to do so to.

I have always enjoyed active and outdoor activities and as such asked for an ‘energetic’ safari. I could sit here and write for weeks on my experiences in Tanzania all of which have been excellent. I can honestly say that Planet Africa have done a superb job in arranging such a tremendous and remarkable safari leaving me wanting to return.

I could not fault Planet Africa in any way. Tanzania is such an amazingly diverse country and manages to offer something to everyone. Again, I felt privileged to visit Mto M Bu and cycle down the Rift Valley whilst visiting local tribes in the village. I can truly say that I enjoyed every minute of this cultural visit (including sampling the banana beer!). After finishing the cycle ride the locally made meal was brilliant and was so different to the hotel meals I have been used to.

I have been asked by many people out in Tanzania if I would return (or the normal comment was "next time you are here you should do.....") and having downloaded my photos I now realise how much I miss the country. If the opportunity arose, I would be back at a heartbeat booking through Planet Africa.

Thanks Landy/Ammy/PAS for providing such an outstanding safari and insight into such a beautiful country.

Steve
